Bridal Sessions

Many people are unclear about what a bridal session can be. Bridal sessions take place months, weeks or days before the wedding day - It's up to the couple. The bride wears her gown and is photographed in a relaxed atmosphere, after all - it's not the wedding day so the couple and photographer aren't pressed for time! I like to photograph at more formal settings for these sessions; in Lexington, Kentucky the Henry Clay Estate, Waveland, and Triangle Park are great places to shoot. The bride can participate in the session alone or the groom is welcome, and encouraged, to join in. Many conventional mindsets aim to avoid the situation where the groom may see the dress. That's perfectly fine, but not having to make time for these photographs on the wedding day make the whole grand day much more enjoyable.

Adam and I had a great time at our wedding session despite the fact that we had to make sudden plans and switch locations from Triangle Park to Henry Clay Estate. All of the pictures turned out beautifully. It was nice to not be in any rush to ensure that we had some great shots for our wedding album. Not only was the atmosphere a great selection by Robin, but she truly made our photo session enjoyable. Adam commented that he usually has a hard time at photo sessions, but it was a breeze given that Robin was relaxed and helped us produce some genuine smiles. Thanks Robin! I will say to brides and grooms that not only will this save time for you on the wedding day, but it also gets your money's worth out of the mock hairstyling session and if you get a small bouquet from your florist you get an true example of how your flowers will be arranged on the day of. It ensures that you'll have everything set for the day of the wedding!
